Volunteer
Ealing 135 is run entirely by volunteers from within the membership. They come from all sorts of work backgrounds, have a huge range of skills and are the lifeblood of the group. We are delighted to have mums, dads, grandparents, nannies, childminders, and pretty much any other interested adults get involved. There are a huge range of ways you can get involved – just take a look at the team – and many of the roles can be shared, enabling you to manage your commitment according to your time and your interest.
Anyone interested in volunteering should contact us at Sahar.Heydariyan@ealing135.org.uk We are always happy to field enquiries, organise a chat about what you would like to do and offer guidance and support to those taking on roles.
Not seen the job you're looking for?
If you have an idea of something that needs doing or an event you think would benefit the group that you would like to run email ealing135chair@gmail.com and tell us about it. We welcome innovation and ideas!
Equally, if the role you really want isn’t currently vacant, do still register your interest and tell us what you’d like to get involved with or approach the person currently doing the job and offer to help out. Many of the jobs can be shared – just because they aren’t at the moment doesn’t mean the person doing the role wouldn’t welcome having an extra person to share the load and to bounce ideas off. Also, for a whole host of reasons, mostly “life”, people are coming and going on the committee all the time, so you never know when the job you want might come up. Register your interest so we know who to call first.
Can't commit to a regular role?
There’s still loads of opportunities to help out on an ad hoc basis. You can:
- Volunteer to run one of our stalls at the Christmas or Spring Fairs
- Help at one of our holiday activities
- Help out at the nearly new sale
- Hold an open house
- Write an article for the newsletter or our blog
- Help reply to email enquiries
You’ll receive plenty of emails from us looking for help throughout the year with these and any one-off events we organise. Just reply and get stuck in contact Sahar.Heydariyan@ealing135.org.uk.
